China Power International Cooperation Union Established

        On June 15, China Power International Cooperation Union was established in Beijing with 22 founding members, 26 members and 10 cooperative partners attending the first meeting of the Union. 
        During the first Assembly and the first Council Meeting of the Union, the constitution of the Union was approved and the first term of Council was elected. Mr. Yang Kun, Executive President of China Electricity Council was elected Chairman of the first term of Council. 
        According to the Joint Statement of Union released on the meeting, the Union was established with following missions: 
        -Implement the national strategy of promoting international cooperation on production capacity and to support the ��Going Out�� of power related enterprises in China.
        -Call on power related enterprises shoulder their social responsibility of green development during international cooperation.
        -Maintain market order when competing on international market; strengthen self regulation and avoid cut-throat competition while respecting international customs and business ethics.
        -Foster reputed Chinese brand of power industry on the international market.
        -Serve as a platform of information exchange and recourses sharing. 
        China Development Bank and several other organizations from financial sector also joined in the Union.
